Project: Quick Change Fixturing System For Palletized 500MM CNC Horizontal Machining Center

Design Specs:

500MM Pallet System with Custom Sub-plates and Quick Change Fixtures to manufacture an electronic housing in 2 Operations Complete In Subgroups Of 30 Parts Per Fixture.

Sub-plates remain attached to tombstone to facilitate Quick Change Fixtures for other components within this products "Part Family" and for other components produced on this palletized horizontal machining center.

This Work-Holding Strategy, in conjunction with Staged Presetting Of Families Of Custom Cutting Tools, which was also developed as part of the Manufacturing Process Package Developed By ADMC, has Eliminated The Set-up Times For These Parts and others on this machine and compliments the companies Lean Manufacturing Initiative.

Machine Set Up and Cycle Time Reduction On This Project Was So Successful That All Future Components Targeted For This Flexible Manufacturing Cell Will Incorporate This Manufacturing And Fixturing Strategy.
